At On The Write Track, we provide comprehensive tutoring and admissions support: writing and essay coaching, math and reading enrichment, test prep, Spanish, and more. Our goal is to help every student grow in confidence and achieve their academic dreams.
Meet Tim Lind - Founder
An educator, mentor, and writing specialist with over 20 years of experience, Tim has dedicated his career to helping students grow as learners—building confidence, strengthening academic skills, and reaching their full potential.
After years of teaching in both public and independent schools, Tim founded On the Write Track to provide personalized tutoring and expert guidance for students navigating schoolwork, standardized tests, and the high school and college application process.
Throughout his career, Tim has worked with students across all grade levels—designing writing curricula, leading application workshops, and supporting growth in math, reading, and language.
As a teacher at top schools in Chicago and Los Angeles, Tim implemented research-backed programs that empowered students to excel not only in narrative, analytical, and persuasive writing, but also in broader academic achievement.
In addition to his work in schools, Tim has spent over a decade as a private tutor, guiding students through the ISEE and ERB, strengthening their study habits, and helping them craft standout essays in the competitive admissions process.
Our Team
Spencer
As a college admissions consultant the past six years, Spencer B. has successfully secured admissions for domestic and international high school students to undergraduate programs at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, UVA, Michigan, UC Berkeley, and NYU. In doing so, he worked with students and parents in all phases of the college admissions process, from prioritizing extracurricular activities to essay drafting, interview preparation, application review, and scholarship research. In addition, Spencer has experience working with athletes, transfer students, and military academy applications. He most enjoys guiding applicants and families through the application process and finding the best fit school for each student.
Nia
Nia Civil, M.S.Ed., is an experienced educator, curriculum designer, and educational consultant with over a decade of experience in general, special, and ENL education. Starting her career in classroom teaching, she has moved towards specializing exclusively in private tutoring, educational enrichment, homeschool instruction, and standardized test preparation, including ISEE and SAT readiness since 2020. Nia works with students across diverse academic profiles, supporting both neurotypical and neurodiverse learners — including students with autism and ADHD, through individualized, strengths-based instruction. Nia’s approach emphasizes personalized strategy, mindfulness, creativity, student confidence, and meaningful academic growth. She is committed to delivering high-impact, individualized education that adapts to each learner’s cognitive, social, and developmental needs. She holds a Master of Science in Learning Design & Technology from Pepperdine University and New York State teaching credentials in General and Special Education spanning early childhood through middle school, while working with children as young as four, through university level.
